Scottsdale, Arizona
South Scottsdale service upgrades and old wiring, north Scottsdale lighting design and remodels, Old Town commercial. We're based right on the Scottsdale line.
Scottsdale
Scottsdale is two different electrical markets. South Scottsdale and Old Town are 50s and 60s ranch homes with original services and, often, no equipment ground. North Scottsdale is newer, larger, and the work is remodels, lighting design and outdoor systems.
We're based in Arcadia, right on the Scottsdale line, so both are close to home.
Scottsdale jobs are mostly lighting installation and design, remodels, service and panel upgrades, generator connections and commercial work.

Older stock here often still runs on two-wire circuits with no equipment ground, hidden behind three-prong outlets somebody swapped in. It's testable in minutes, and there are three honest fixes rather than one: GFCI protection with the outlets labelled as having no equipment ground, running a ground to the circuits that need one, or a rewire where the numbers support it.
A lot of this area is being renovated hard, so the remodel angle matters as much as the repair one: old wiring meeting new layouts, walls already open, sub work for general contractors, and kitchen and bath circuits brought up to current code while the access is there.
North Scottsdale
Different work entirely, and mostly judged on how it looks when it's done.
Commercial
Old Town restaurant and bar work, retail, medical and professional office, resort and hospitality. The Optima Biltmore rooftop job is the closest proof point — high-rise, pool and spa, as a sub to a general contractor, which is exactly the profile of Scottsdale commercial work.
Much of our commercial work is as a subcontractor to general contractors. We're used to working to someone else's schedule, sequence and inspection calendar.
Coverage and credentials
B and D Electric LLC is based in Arcadia and works a 30-mile radius from central Phoenix — which covers essentially the whole Valley. Arizona ROC 361086, bonded through RLI Surety, $1M/$2M general liability. Residential and commercial, direct to owners and as a sub to general contractors.
Utility
A service change means the utility has to drop power, and that means paperwork and scheduling with either APS or SRP depending on where your meter sits. We deal with both constantly. You get a date, not a runaround.
Permits
Permit gets pulled before the work starts and we're on site for the inspection. You don't file anything and you don't take a day off to let anyone in.
Arizona conditions
High-rise rooftop pool and spa renovation at the Optima Biltmore, where we performed the electrical scope as a subcontractor to Berlin Precision Construction Inc. (AZ ROC 316238). Our work covered a new 480V dry-type transformer and its terminations, a stainless NEMA 4X panel enclosure built for weather and pool chemicals, dedicated circuits for the pumps, heaters, chlorine generation and control systems, and low-voltage LED lighting in the deck and pool niches. Every run on the roof deck is code-compliant, GFCI-protected and bonded to the pool per NEC Article 680.
